GasPlug TM technology (patent pending)

All the cartridges have the same size and fit in any of the five available sockets. Inside the cartridge, we install the sensor into a PCB that storages its all information: type, age and factory calibration. When you plug the new cartridge, the base station just reads the information, configures itself and starts working.

Sound Level Meter

Low-cost wireless system for the monitoring of urban and industrial noise. Type 2 sound level meter that captures data in real-time and sends it wirelessly to Kunak Cloud, a Noise Management Software for advanced analysis and remote configuration of sensors, which allows integration of information onto ERPs and Smart City platforms.

 


Internal Battery

The Kunak AIR Pro is supplied with an internal rechargeable lithium battery to prevent loses of power supply. In this way, it can continue measuring for long periods of power loses, until the power supply is restored. The battery can be recharged using the avail-able charger or by the external power supply. The device will be mounted with a 1 cell or 9 cell battery (according to configuration).

Solar panel

The 12-watt and the 6.3-volt high-efficiency monocrystalline solar panel is robust, waterproof (IP67) and has been designed for prolonged outdoor use in any environment. The photovoltaic panel makes the the ambient air monitoring device totally autonomous from the power grid, allowing the installation anywhere without civil works or in remote locations.

 


Indoor charger

The Kunak AIR Pro is always supplied together with a switching adaptor. It can be either for European or Global plugs. Input voltage 100-240V AC 50-60 Hz, Output voltage 12V DC, Output current 1.67A.

 


Outdoor charger

If the Kunak AIR Pro is going to be installed outdoors, it must use a charger that can withstand these conditions. It is small (22.2 x 30.0 x 20.0 cm), lightweight (220 g), waterproof (IP67) and has been designed for prolonged outdoor use in any environment.

 


Mechanical Anemometer

It includes both wind speed and wind direction sensors. Rugged components stand up to hurricane-force winds yet are sensitive to a light breeze. It includes sealed bearings for long life. The range and accuracy specifications have been verified in wind-tunnel tests.

 


Ultrasonic anemometer

It includes both wind speed and wind direction sensors. It is an ultrasonic self-powered anemometer. The power requirement is fairly small and is met by means of a small solar panel sitting on top of the unit along with a rechargeable lithium battery in the wider part of the stem of the unit, immediately below the ultrasonic platform.

 


Rain gauge

It is highly reliable, simple to maintain and simple to clean, it has found applications in all climates. Proven self-emptying bucket technology to ensure uninterrupted measurement of precipitation regardless of amount and intensity. It measures rain by means of a standardized orifice funnel which collects water into a self-emptying bucket mechanism. This mechanism offers a more consistent long-term response than tipping-bucket rain gauges because its counterweight is not affected by water, dirt and dust accumulation.

 


Pyranometer

The pyranometer measures solar radiation with a high-quality blackened thermopile protected by a dome. The blackened thermopile provides a flat spectral response for the full solar spectrum range, which enables it to be used under plant canopies or lamps, when the sky is cloudy, and for reflected radiation measurements.
It includes a bubble level, three adjusting screws, and a cable gland. The bubble level and adjusting screws allow the sensor to be levelled without using a levelling base. The gland facilitates cable replacement.

 


Wet Bulb Globe Thermometer (WBGT)

The wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT) is a measure of the heat stress in direct sunlight, which takes into account the temperature, humidity, wind speed (wind chill) and solar radiation. It is used in OHSAS, in sporting events and by military agencies to determine appropriate exposure levels to high temperatures.

Ultraviolet-A Sensor

The UV-A sensors detect UV radiation from 300 to 400 nm and are calibrated in energy-flux density units of watts per square meter (W m-2, equal to Joules per second per square meter). The output can also be expressed in photon flux density units of micromoles per square meter per second (μmol m-2 s-1). Typical applications of UV sensors include incoming UV radiation measurement in outdoor environments or in laboratory use with artificial light sources (e.g., germicidal lamps). Apogee Instruments SU-200 series UV-A sensors consist of a cast acrylic diffuser, photodiode and signal processing circuitry mounted in an anodized aluminium housing and a cable to connect the sensor to a measurement device and are designed for continuous UV-A radiation measurement in indoor or outdoor environments.
