WHO/PAHO chooses Kunak to measure Air Quality in Haiti

Kunak has been awarded with a tender to supply Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) with a pilot Air Quality network in Haiti.

PAHO is the specialized international health agency for the Americas. It works with countries throughout the region to improve and protect people’s health. PAHO engages in technical cooperation with its member countries to fight communicable and noncommunicable diseases and their causes, to strengthen health systems, and to respond to emergencies and disasters.

PAHO was looking for a compact, easy to operate solution, that would be affordable for developing countries or post-crisis scenarios.

In collaboration with Haiti Ministry of Environment, PAHO will deply and operate 3 Kunak AIR, stationary remote wireless air quality monitoring equipment for gases (CO, O3, NO2, SO2), particles (PM1, PM2.5, PM10 um) and Noise with solar panel which makes them 100% autonomous.

Units havebeen shipped and will be operational shortly, helping the Ministry and NGOs maps pollution with the highest accuracy from an affordable system.
